Satara ( pronunciation is a city located in the Satara District of Maharashtra state of India, near the confluence of the river Krishna and its tributary river Venna. The city was established in the 16th century and was the seat of Raja of Satara. It is the headquarters of Satara Tahsil, as well as Satara District.
Ajmer (pronounced [ədʒmeːr]) is the fifth largest city in the Indian state of Rajasthan and is the centre of the eponymous Ajmer District. Prithviraj Chauhan (1149–1192 CE), of the Chauhan dynasty, ruled Ajmer along with Delhi during the latter half of the 12th century. He succeeded to the throne at the age of 13, and ruled from the twin capitals of Ajmer and Delhi, and was the last independent Hindu king to sit upon the throne of Delhi.
