Thiruvananthapuram (Malayalam:തിരുവനതപുരം Tiruvaṉantapuram, IPA: [t̪iruʋənən̪t̪əpurəm]), formerly known as Trivandrum, is the capital city of the Indian state of Kerala. It is on the west coast of India near the extreme south of the mainland.
